It is important to us, that your visit is relaxing and refreshing; to know that life is best enjoyed when we take the time to slow down, to rest and to enjoy what our creator has to show us.

GETTING TO KNOW US…

Dan and Darlene

Welcome to our beautiful home!  We love meeting new friends, sharing funny stories of our light-hearted experiences and being part of your life journey.  Dan and I have traveled many places over the years, including several continents while being part of construction and medical mission teams.   We live in Winder Georgia, in a  circa 1906 farmhouse with beautiful walnut and pecan trees.  Whether on another continent  or in another country; hospitality always begin with a smile.  We hope to be able to share this lovely town with you!

Dan has worked for over 30 years as a commercial construction superintendent and 10 years in the state park service.  He absolutely loves building 'something from nothing'.  Always resourceful in how he approaches a new project or a new space.  Working in the park service gave Dan the opportunity to meet everyday people, to slow down and to have great conversations; making a difference in their lives AND his.

Darlene has worked for over twenty years as a nurse leader. Nursing came natural to Darlene;  as she always wanted to make a difference in the lives of others. Making a difference and growing up in the south, Darlene has many memories of what true hospitality is and the importance of creating spaces that are welcoming and relaxing.  Her grandmother was an artist and Darlene would sit for many hours watching her grandmother paint or create colorful spaces.
